- The DEX2400K o-ring gasket is the large tank/body o-ring that seals between the top and bottom half of the compatible filter models listed above. This o-ring eventually wears out from being compressed in service for a long period of time. If you notice your filter dripping from the seam/band between the two halves, it’s time to replace your o-ring to restore your filter to peak performance.

How to know when it’s time to replace your o-ring? It’s best practice to replace your filter’s o-ring every 2-3 years to maintain optimal performance and prevent leaks. However, water conditions and the tightness of the filter closure can affect service life. If you notice signs of wear or damage (cracks, cuts, or other deformation) to your o-ring, it’s best to replace it sooner. The o-ring will eventually wear out from being compressed in the filter band over the course of the years.
